We all have had them (sigh), projects that flop. This one sadly is one of mine.
It was inspired by one of my favorite tops from Ann Taylor.

I had found some fabulous brown with gold pinstripe fabric for only $5 a yard and (light bulb) thought this will be perfect to make that top! Made it and did not like it. I could not bare to waist the fabric and time that I had put into it. I took one look at Sophia and thought sundress.
Here is the finished product. What do you think?
She takes after her mother :)

Isn't it great when it all works out??
ps. Love that the straps cross in the back!
Cuuuuute! Way to make it work!
Great save! It turned out adorable! (so is your daughter!) funny how the little monkeys always have to pull a face for the camera!Mine still do!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love this dress! I have to make one for my daughter! I especially love the little fabric flower.
What a precious sundress! How did you make the flower for it? I can't seem make them correctly and I have an outfit for my little girl that needs one right on the halter top smack in the middle! It looks empty without it. Even sewing mistakes can be recycled or upcycled!
It looks great. And that is one super cute model!! I hope you'll stop by and link up to my weekly party Make It Wear It @ TheTrainToCrazy.com!
Flop to fantastic! So cute. I love the fabric and the little one is quite adorable :)
